About PDF Toolkit

Merge, split, reorder and rotate PDF pages, turn images into a PDF, export pages as images, and pull the text out of a document. Everything runs in your browser: your files are never uploaded, which makes this safe for contracts, invoices, medical records and anything else you would rather not hand to a random website.

Key Features:

  • Merge: Load several PDFs at once and their pages land in one workspace
  • Reorder: Drag page thumbnails into any order you like
  • Rotate: Turn single pages or the whole selection by 90 degrees at a time
  • Delete & Extract: Drop pages you do not need, or export just the selected ones as a new PDF
  • Images to PDF: Combine PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or BMP files into a document with a fitted, A4 or Letter page size
  • PDF to Images: Render pages to PNG or JPEG at up to 4x resolution
  • Extract Text: Copy or download the text layer of a document
  • Page Ranges: Target specific pages with expressions like 1-5, 8, 11-13
  • Complete Privacy: No uploads, no server, works offline once the page has loaded

How to Use:

  1. Pick a tab: Organize, Images to PDF, PDF to images, or Extract text
  2. Add files: Drag them onto the drop zone or click to browse
  3. Edit: Select pages with the checkboxes, then rotate or delete them together
  4. Reorder: Grab the handle on a thumbnail and drag it to a new position
  5. Export: Download the whole document, or just the pages you selected

Good to Know:

  • No compression: This tool rearranges pages, it does not shrink a PDF. Page content is copied across untouched.
  • No OCR: Text extraction reads the text layer. A scanned page holds only pixels, so nothing comes out of it.
  • Password protected files: Encrypted PDFs cannot be opened or edited here.
  • Large documents: Thumbnails are rendered one page at a time, so a few hundred pages will take a moment.
  • Downloading many images: Browsers ask once for permission when several files are saved in a row.

Common Use Cases:

  • Paperwork: Merge a signed contract with its attachments before sending it on
  • Scans: Rotate pages a scanner fed in sideways
  • Sharing: Pull a handful of pages out of a long report
  • Receipts: Turn phone photos into a single PDF for an expense claim
  • Slides: Export a deck to PNG for use in another document
  • Research: Grab the text of a paper for notes or translation

Privacy & Security:

Files are read with the browser File API and processed with pdf-lib and pdf.js on your own machine. Nothing is sent anywhere, there is no server-side storage, and closing the tab discards everything.
